The UNDSMA congratulates Lord Sir Prof. Florentin Scaleţchi, PhD Founding President of the Organization for Human Rights Defense (OADO – ECOSOC United Nations) for his award from the 27th Mediterranean IPA (International Police Association) Meeting. The meeting and award was organized by IPA Region of Skopje and presented at the Hotel Aqualina in Ohrid (North Macedonia) on June 19, 2022.

After an official appointment of UNDSMA and a collaboration was established in February 2022, OADO/ECOSOC and UNDSMA are fully committed to enhancing the relevance, coherence, effectiveness and efficiency of the UN system and to adopt more collaborative approaches to support country-driven development initiatives and enhance national capacities in goodwill and peace while identifying human rights issues plus maintaining social justice.

In their areas of collaboration, OADO will ensure that the human rights and freedoms of all people are protected with focus on complementary and/or joint programming efforts for supporting national, regional and global legacy initiatives and events by UNDSMA in the following areas of Sport, Music, and the Arts: (i) achievement of internationally agreed development goals, (ii) education and training, (iii) youth development and employment, (iv) gender equality in education, training and employment (v) elimination of social exclusion of persons with disabilities, (vi) communication and information, and, (vii) advise on international social protection.
